A Puzzling New Tradition

Several people have told me that they love to put a puzzle out to work on during the holidays. I thought it would be fun to start this year since Allyson doesn't destroy everything in sight anymore! I bought a box with several different scenes representing all the seasons. I started us off with a 300 piece fall one to see how the kids would like it. We got it out last night and low and behold, they finished it last night! Luckily the box had a few more fall ones we can do. This time we are moving up to one with 500 pieces. Maybe by Christmas we will be up to 1000! So, if you visit us during these next holiday months, please feel free to work on the puzzle while we conversate or just anytime at your leisure. Hurray, a holiday tradition that isn't about food!

Count me in at Christmas. Can we combine food with this tradition? At least some wassail.

Sounds fun! Too bad Ethan would STILL destroy it whenever he decided it would be fun.

Yes, I noticed the puzzle was completed yesterday! I love the tradition and your big ottoman is perfect for the puzzle board. Perhaps Julia and I will contribute a little when we are there.

The Bowens Family has done this as long as I can remember, it is one of the best memories I have with my dad. Lar loves puzzles. We get ours out starting the tanksgiving weekend. We always do at least 1000 so it takes longer to do. I love it and to me, it screams "here comes the holidays!"

No offense but I am no good at puzzles. I can barley do Nicky's toddler ones. I think I can do the edges of those bigger ones but when it comes to the middle part, I get to anxious with all the pieces.

I read this, and it sounds fun. I want a puzzle board. Are you giving them for Christmas presents???

Know what is the best thing about puzzles? You get to have lots of together-time with one another. And you can talk about stuff.
